FIELD: plastic metal working, namely, helical rolling mills, particularly for rolling balls and short bodies of revolution. SUBSTANCE: main line of ball rolling mill includes stand with rolling rolls, pinion stand connected with electric motor, two cardan shafts arranged symmetrically relative to technological axis of mill and joined by their universal joint assemblies with output shafts of pinion stand and with rolling rolls respectively; mechanism for rotating one rolling roll relative to another. Said mechanism is arranged in hollow shaft of pinion stand and it is in the form of double-bearing shaft with splines in its one end. Toothed sleeve is mounted on said shaft and it has teeth on outer surface and on inner surface - splines coincided with splines of two-bearing shaft. Mechanism also includes toothed holder mounted on hollow shaft and engaged with teeth of toothed sleeve. One bearing assembly of two-bearing shaft is mounted in pinion stand, second bearing assembly - in hollow shaft.
