FIELD: high octane additive to motor fuels. SUBSTANCE: product: methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE). Reagent 1: isobutylene- containing fraction. Reagent 2: methanol. Reaction conditions: isobutylene to methanol molar ratio is 1.01- 1.1: 1. Catalyst is sulfocationite in H-form, two reaction zones. Methanol is fed to first reaction zone and process is carried out to 95-99% conversion at temperatures from 25-40 to 80-110 C the resulting MTBE is separated in rectification column and the unreacted compounds are fed to second zone where process is carried out at temperatures from 25-40 to 45-58 C. EFFECT: improved properties of the title compound. 1 dwg
