FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates with alkaline-earth metal titanate producing. Solutions of titanium tetrachloride, barium chloride and oxalic acid taken at mole concentration 1.8-3.0 mole/dm3, 0.8-2.0 mole/dm3 and 0.8-2.0 mole/dm3, respectively, were mixed at mole ratio 1.0:1.1:(2.0-2.5). Mixing is carried out by successive addition of titanium tetrachloride solution to oxalic acid solution and then - barium chloride solution at rate 150-1500 l/hr or by addition of preliminary mixed solutions of titanium tetrachloride and barium chloride at rate 200-2000 l/hr followed by stirring of suspension at rate 60-300 rev/min. Prepared barium titanyl oxalate is separated from mother liquor, barium titanyl oxalate is washed, calcined and filtrate is treated with sulfuric acid at boiling. Precipitate of barium sulfate is separated and acid filtrate heated to 90-105 C and treated with magnesium carbonate for 0.5-3.0 hr up to pH = 5-6. Magnesium chloride solution is separated from solid precipitate and evaporated to required concentration. Solid precipitate is calcined and obtained powder can be used in building industry. After evaporation condensate is fed to the stage of barium titanyl oxalate producing. Titanates can be used for high-frequency ceramic condensers making.
