FIELD: chemical industry; electronic industry; methods of production of barium titanate.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of chemical industry, in particular, to the methods of production of barium titanate and may be used for production of the high-frequency ceramic capacitors and the thermistors in electronic industry. The method includes preparation of the solution of the titanyloxalic acid by interaction of titanium tetrachloride and the oxalic acid, mixing of the solution of the titanyloxalic acid with the barium chloride with production of the barium titanyloxalate, its separation from the filtrate with the subsequent washing, calcining and production of the barium titanate. Before preparation of the solution of the titanyloxalic acid first they prepare the mixture of the purified titanium tetrachloride and the crystalline oxalic acid, the mixture is intermixed and added at the stirring action with the cold water at the volumetric ratio of the titanium tetrachloride to the water equal to 1:(20-40), then add the barium chloride solution. The invention allows to raise the productivity of the barium titanate production process due to the reduced time necessary for preparation of the titanium tetrachloride and the oxalic acid source solutions.

EFFECT: the invention ensures the increased productivity of barium titanate production process, the decreased time duration necessary for preparation of the titanium tetrachloride and the oxalic acid source solutions.
