FIELD: inorganic materials technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of producing alkali-earth metal titanates suitable for manufacturing high-frequency ceramic condensers for radioelectronics. Process of invention comprises providing starting solutions of titanium tetrachloride, barium chloride, and oxalic acid; combining solutions; precipitating barium titanyl oxalate; separating it from mother liquor and washing; drying and precipitation to form desired product; liberating mother liquor of impurities; neutralizing it and separating precipitate. Neutralization of acid effluents is accomplished by treating the latter with fine chrysotile-asbestos manufacture waste, which is used in amounts of 120-150% of the stoichiometrically needed amount. After neutralization, sulfate-containing inorganic compounds are added to suspension in amounts 15-30 g/dm3 and suspension is then settled. Clarified purified magnesium chloride solution is separated from thickened portion of suspension, which is mixed with is mixed with preliminarily ground chrysotile-asbestos waste and inert filler to satisfy weight ratio 1:(1÷2):(2÷3). Resulting mix is stirred, molded, thermally treated at 120-200°C, and compacted.
EFFECT: prevented production of waste and environmental pollution, and reduced production expenses due to simultaneous production of other useful products.
