FIELD: technology of production of inorganic substances; methods of production of titanates of alkali-earth metals for manufacture of high-frequency ceramic capacitors and posistors for electronic equipment.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes preparation of starting solutions of titanium tetrachloride, barium chloride and oxalic acid, mixing the solutions, settling of barium titanyl oxalate, separation of it from mother liquor, flushing, thus obtaining technological water, dehydration, drying and calcination of sediment for obtaining target product, neutralization of mother liquor with alkali reagent, cleaning from admixtures and separation of sediment from solution. Prior to neutralization, mother liquor and technological water are combined and liquid phase is subjected to neutralization with powder-like serpentine wastes to pH=2-4; after neutralization, sulfate-containing inorganic compounds are introduced into suspension in the amount of 110-150% of stoichiometrically required amount for forming BaSo4, then compounds are treated with lime milk to pH=6-9, settled and filtered. Used as serpentine wastes are wastes of asbestos process at size of particles lesser than 100 mcm. Used as lime milk is suspension at concentration of CaO of 100-150 g/cu dm. Used as sulfate-containing inorganic, use may be made of solution Na2SO4 at concentration of 50-250 g/cu dm. Use may be also made of sulfuric acid of chlorine compressors which is diluted to 500-200 g/cu dm.
EFFECT: simplified process due to reduction of technological stages and utilization of wastes.
