FIELD: virology, medicine. SUBSTANCE: vaccine strain B/Leningrad/14/17/55 is obtained by carrying out 17 passages of virus B/Leningrad/14/55 in developing chicken embryos at 23 C that results to temperature-sensitivity and cold-adaptation properties. Strain of virus B/Leningrad/14/17/55 shows the following properties: hemagglutinating activity: 1:84-1:236, infection activity - 6.0-7.0 lg ЭИД 30/0.2 ml (infectious embryo doses); vs marker - 4.0-5.0 lg, i. e. strain is temperature-sensitive one (vs-); on marker lg ЭИД 50/0.2 ml, 4.0-5.0 lg. Strain shows genetic stability and shows areactogenic immunogenicity for adult and children. EFFECT: influenza virus strain indicated above.
