FIELD: medicinal virology. SUBSTANCE: strain is deposited in GISK at N 103. Vaccine strain A/17/Peking/92/4 - is a reassortant obtained by crossing epidemic virus A/Peking/32/92 (H3N2) with cold-adapted temperature-sensitive virus A/Leningrad/134/17/57 (H2N2) that is attenuation donor that is harmless for adult and children. Strain A/17/Peking/92/4 is actively multiplicated in the developing chick embryos at optimal temperature 32-34 C. Reassortant strain inherited two genes encoding the surface proteins (hemagglutinine and neuroaminidase) from epidemic virus and six genes encoding nonglycolyzed proteins from attenuation donor. Strain A/17/Peking/92/4 (H3N2) is nonreactive for adult at age above 15 years at intranasal administration. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of strain indicated above. 1 tbl
