FIELD: medicinal virology. SUBSTANCE: vaccine strain B/Panama/90/4/E is a reassortant obtained by crossing the epidemic virus B/Panama45/90 with cold-adapted temperature-sensitive virus B/USSR/69/E as an attenuation donor that is harmless for adult and children. Strain B/Panama/90/4/E actively multiplicates in developing chicken embryos at optimal temperature 32-34 C. Reassortant inherited two genes encoding the surface proteins (hemagglutinine and neuraminidase) from epidemic virus and six genes encoding nonglycolized proteins from attenuation donor. Strain B/Panama/90/4/E is nonreactive for adult and children of age 3-15 years at intranasal administration route. Strain is deposited in GISK at N 105. EFFECT: vaccine strain indicated above. 1 tbl
