METHOD FOR TREATING DIASTASIS OF MUSCULI RECTI ABDOMINIS Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves exsecting stretched skin excesses together with fat tissue all over the whole diastasis region. Musculi recti abdominis are approximated by means of buried sutures. Weak places of the anterior abdominal wall are subjected to alloplasty with lavsan. Musculi recti abdominis are approximated by means of crimping buried sutures in the cases of III-IV degree diastasis. To do it, median sheath borders of musculi recti abdominis and its white line are sutured to restore the normal sizes by making folds. Weak places alloplasty is carried out using small-pored lavsan ribbons. First, the abdominal white line is covered with one ribbon attaching it upward to the inferior edge of the sternum and xiphoid process. The inferior end is attached to the pubic symphysis. Its lateral edges are sutured with continuous suture to the internal borders of the approximated musculi recti abdominis. The following ribbons are fixed with continuous sutures all over the whole way through the zone of tendinous intersections of musculi recti abdominis, lateral muscleless spaces, lateral abdominal muscles aponeuroses which ends are sutured with separate lavsan sutures to rib arches in epigastrium and to the border of aponeuroses of the broadest muscle of the back through additional cuts, to the anterosuperior iliac bones spines. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment.
