FIELD: railway transport; manufacture of wheels and tyres. SUBSTANCE: method of manufacture of rail wheels and tyres from vacuum treated steel comes to heating of blanks to 1200-1280 C, their shaping by forming and thermal treatment by isothermal holding. Heating of blanks for forming is carried out at limited value of temperature gradient over perimeter of blank equal to 25-45 C. Process of forming is carried out at constant position of maximum temperature gradient zones from blank to blank over perimeter of blanks relative to forming tool. Isothermal holding for antiflake treatment of steel is combined with process of heating for forming and tempering. EFFECT: improved quality of wheels and tyres. 1 dwg
