FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to granulating materials from their melts. Potassium chloride melt is fed through inlet fitting into upper part of working chamber wherein it is pulverized by water-air streams introduced through nozzles located in the same plane with inlet fitting at the distance 0.5-1.5 nozzle sizes from inlet fitting opening, while weight proportion of air, water, and melt consumption is (0.50-0.55): 0.18-0.20):1. Resultant granulate is then cooled in recuperation heat exchanger. EFFECT: specified grain size is obtained in highly efficient process. 2 cl, 2 tbl
