FIELD: heat- and mass-exchange equipment. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to packed columns for gas(vapor)-liquid interaction when carrying out absorption and rectification processes in chemical, gas, food, and other industries. Invention aims at enhancing efficiency of gas(vapor)-liquid mass exchange owing to increasing mass-exchange interphase surface in free volume of charge and providing structure of liquid stream close to the model of ideal displacement in horizontal plane. Aim is achieved with that, in heat- and mass- exchange column including vertical cylindrical casing in which perforated shelves with central openings are stack-wise arranged, the perforations in shelves are made in the form of arc cuts with their bulges upward; charge layer is present on each shelf; vertical central tube is axially installed in the center of casing; helically shaped perforated shelves are arranged around central tube and have radial slope directed at acute angle to horizontal from casing wall toward central tube; at each turn of helical shelf, its upper and lower radial edges are joined with vertical radial barriers in the form of rectangle, its two opposite sides being adjacent to casing and central tube walls and two other opposite sides to upper and lower radial edges of helical shelf; over upper level and under lower level of helical shelf, an upper and lower additional barriers are connected to vertical radial barrier; axes of arc cuts in helical shelves are oriented from upper radial edge of helical shelf to lower one and at acute angle to radius directed from periphery to center of casing; near lower radial edge of shelf, there are arc cuts with their bulges downward and with their axes tangentially oriented toward lower additional barrier for liquid drain; height of charge bed on each shelf is less than vertical distance between the shelves to provide separation space between shelves; linear dimensions of arc cuts are less than size of charge elements. EFFECT: improved heat- and mass-exchange efficiency due to increased mass-exchange interphase surface resulting from improved structure of column. 5 dwg
