FIELD: mechanical engineering; applicable in production of single-crystal ingots of turbine vanes from high-temperature alloys. SUBSTANCE: the offered device has ceramic shell, which is made with successively arranged seed cavity accommodating seed crystal, connecting sprue and cavity for forming the ingot. In this case, additional cavity between connecting sprue and seed cavity is made. Additional cavity accommodates ceramic insert with crystal separator in form of curved sprue. Area of outlet of curved sprue of insert is larger than that of adjacent hole of connecting sprue, and area of inlet of curved sprue of insert is smaller than the area of adjacent end of seed crystal. Ceramic insert may be made with hollows on its side surface and with sprue having expanded part at the end surface of insert adjacent to seed. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 2 dwg
