FIELD: photographic industry. SUBSTANCE: when synthesizing emulsion by way of introducing silver nitrate and potassium chloride solutions into water-gelatin solution, synthesis is carried out at pAg 6.8-8.2 and temperature 45-60 C followed by physical ripening of emulsion for further 1.5-2.5 h at synthesis temperature. EFFECT: increased homogeneity of silver chloride monocrystals in respect to size and halide makeup.
