SUBSTANCE: method involves mounting crankshaft 2 in centers 1 axially of crankshaft necks 3 and providing for rotation of crankshaft about axis of its necks; positioning mirror 6 so that beam 5 is directed normally to neck generatrix; moving beam 5 along neck generatrix from leading to terminating part to heat neck; positioning mirror 6 so that beam 5 is directed along line 7 extending normally to tangent 8 passing through central zone 9 of flute; heating one flute; heating other flute by directing beam 5 normally to tangent; subjecting connecting rod necks to thermal treatment by rotating crankshaft about axes of these necks and directing beam 5 in the manner similar to that used to heat crankshaft necks; heating flutes of connecting rod necks by directing beam 5 in the manner similar to that used to treat crankshaft neck flutes. EFFECT: increased efficiency, wider operational capabilities and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 dwg
