FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method of determination of friction coefficient during surface grinding by periphery of wheel consists in preliminary grinding with use of lubricating and cooling liquid by countersample in which capacity grinding wheel is employed till arc with radius equal to radius of countersample is formed. Sample is heated to temperature close to melting temperature and is installed with arc-shaped surface on to upper part of immobile countersample with preservation of correspondence of sides of sample and countersample, composition and supply of lubricating and cooling liquid set during preliminary grinding. Sample is moved over countersample in direction counter to that of its rotation. Point of center of arc of simple is recorded at onset of sliding of sample over countersample. Then coordinates of this point are found in system of coordinates with start in center of countersample and tangent of inclination angle of sample with respect to horizon is calculated which is assumed, to be friction coefficient at given temperature. Sample is cooled and friction coefficient is determined per each value of temperature registered with chosen discreteness. EFFECT: increased accuracy of method. 1 dwg
