FIELD: cellular satellite communication network. SUBSTANCE: system comprises satellites which project cells towards Earth. When call is directed to user set, data which describe its position are sent to switching station of network. Switching station generates schedule which includes estimation of moment when movement of cells causes crossing of cell border by user set. In course of ongoing call user handset detects border crossing moments which are defined by schedule. If cell which is defined by schedule provides enough signal level and it provides network possibility for call manipulation, call servicing is transmitted to cell defined in schedule. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities, user set tests signal levels for detection of moments when signal in scheduled channel is decreased, and for amplification of signal in alternative cell. 32 cl, 16 dwg
