FIELD: electrochemical analysis of corrosion of metals in low-conductance liquid media; investigation of corrosion of heat-transfer surfaces in power engineering, chemical, food, and other industries. SUBSTANCE: electrochemical cell depending for its operation on method of polarization of curves has cylindrical metal case with pipe connections for analyzed medium admission and outlet, metering electrode at least one of whose parts is made of metal under analysis with end cowl on admission side and holder on opposite side; electrode is placed coaxially inside case; reference electrode contacting medium under analysis and standard electrode, as well as intermediate annular reference electrode contacting analyzed medium only; auxiliary electrode electrically isolated from case and inserted, together with metering electrode, into polarizing current circuit. According to invention, auxiliary electrode is split in plane perpendicular to case axis symmetrically relative to boundaries of metering electrode cylindrical section between cowl and holder. Intermediate reference electrode is placed inside mentioned split and electrically isolated from auxiliary electrode parts on either side of split; mentioned parts of auxiliary electrode are electrically interconnected and metering electrode cowl is made of insulating material. EFFECT: improved measurement accuracy. 3 dwg
