FIELD: medical equipment, applicable for treatment and prophylaxis of various diseases by physiotherapeutic procedures. SUBSTANCE: device provides for optimization of the effect in disturbances in the organism at the expense of well regulated electromagnetic pulses with a continuous spectrum, including pulses with the shortest (picosecond) leading edge. Well regulated electromagnetic pulses enhance the effectiveness of treatment or prophylactic procedures and decrease their time. The device uses a generator, pulse-shaping system, high-pass filter and a radiation system. The generator is made as a source of well regulated electromagnetic pulses and can operate into any load. The pulse-shaping system is made coaxial consisting at least of two stages, each having a wide-band accumulating-transmitting coaxial line, and a peaking two-electrode arrestor with a controlled annular interelectrode gap. Even one peaking arrestor is made on the coaxially made joint of two lines with essentially different wave impedances. The interelectrode gap of each peaking arrestor provides for the minimum time of switching. The high-pass filter is cut in between the pulse-shaping and radiation systems. The radiation system is a wide-band system made in the form of a TEM-system of field formation, or in the form of a TEM-radiator. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness. 4 cl, 4 dwg
