FIELD: metallurgy; units of continuous casting of curved castings; applicable in secondary cooling. SUBSTANCE: method and device for its embodiment allow supply of coolant to surface of castings in form of paired cones forming common cone. In so doing, cones are shifted towards process axis of machine with gradual regulated increase of displacement value by sections of cooling with simultaneous increase of angle of crossing of cones from 12-14 to 30-50 deg. to the end of radial section. Coolant is supplied through headers provided with jet nozzles, and adjacent jet nozzles through headers provided with jet nozzles, and adjacent jet nozzles of paired headers are installed with increasing angle of crossing within the above specified range of central axes as the first section is left behind.
