FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method includes loading charge, fusing it, removing slag, forming new slag, finally smelting metal, and tapping. According to invention, before removing slag, a charge stock containing 5-50% of oxide material and iron-containing alloy as remaining part is loaded in 1-3 portions with 0.5-5 min intervals in amount 0.2-3% based on smelting weight. In addition, forming new slag may be accomplished with charge stock additionally containing calcium oxide: 5-35% oxide material, 5-15% calcium oxide, and iron-containing material, the balance.
