FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves using hygroscopic twisted threads with zones one of which is used for applying liquid and the other one is used to move the liquid. The zone for applying liquid and zone for moving the liquid are made from one and the same twisted thread which length is greater than or equal to 2L, where L is the finished thread length with its twist equal in magnitude and opposite in direction. The zone for applying liquid is made as a loop. The hygroscopic twisted thread is produced from synthetic artificial elementary threads or natural fibers. Diagnosis method involves using thread of prescribed length having zone for applying liquid turning into a zone for moving the liquid. In forming the twisted thread, a piece of thread width is greater than two prescribed lengths of twisted thread by a value required to accomplish the following operations is cut from complex thread of lesser density being twice as small as the linear density of the twisted thread. The piece of thread is twisted under tension and folded in putting the ends together and letting the thread self-twist in natural way into the twisted thread making double-thread with a loop on one end that forms a zone for applying liquid.
