FIELD: railway transport; sealing of rational parameters of railway car brake rigging. SUBSTANCE: first tolerable value of actual pressure of brake shoe on wheel is calculated and then diameter of standard brake cylinder available from industry is selected, and gear ratio of brake rigging is calculated by formula given in description of invention. Then shaft of brake rigging is installed on lever in place corresponding to calculated gear ratio. EFFECT: improved efficiency of rolling stock braking.
