FIELD: traumatology. SUBSTANCE: traumatologist must take into consideration following factors: patient's sex, age, trauma mechanism, number of days elapsed since trauma day till operation day, fact of alcoholic intoxication at moment when trauma was caused, extent of bone fragments displacement, bone fracture nature. number of injuries, gravity of open fracture as assessed according to Kaplan-Markova method, localization of injuries on bone segment, fact of traumatic shock, degree of inter-fragment by pulsed complex-modulated electromagnetic field during postoperative period. On basis on said factor linear discriminant function is determined using formula F= , wherein X1...X13 are clinico-roentgenological factors, 187.09 is absolute term. At F>0, traumatologist prognoses favorable expected course of fracture consolidation process, while at F≅0, unfavorable course is expected. EFFECT: prophylaxis of complications due to early detection of patients with whom unfavorable course of fracture healing process is to be expected.
