FIELD: metallurgy, particular, heat treatment of rollers of units of steel continuous casting after build-up of their bodies. SUBSTANCE: the offered method includes multilayer electric arc building-up of its body and subsequent heat treatment with heating, holding and cooling at the rate of 5-20 C/h. Heating is carried out at the beginning at rate of 75-85 C/h up to intermediate temperature of 180-220 C. Then, repeated heating is conducted at rate of 45-55 C/h up to temperature of 580-620 C at which holding is effected for 5-7 h, and cooling. EFFECT: higher stability of rollers with spiral collars on their bodies. 1 tbl
