FIELD: railway transport; permanent way; laying of continuous welded rail lengths on rail base bringing them simultaneously into designed temperature range for fastening. SUBSTANCE: rail length is placed on rollers by its foot. Rollers are installed on rail base. One end of rail length is secured and longitudinal acting force is applied to other end of rail length. Then rollers are removed from under foot of rail length and the latter is secured on rail base. At initial period of work large longitudinal acting force is applied to rail length and when required stresses in direction from rigidly secured end of rail length to other end are built in separate sections of rail length, force is reduced and these sections are secured on rail base in direction from rigidly secured end of rail length to its other end. EFFECT: provision of uniform stresses in rail length corresponding to adopted designed temperature for rail fastening to provide reliable operation. 2 dwg
