FIELD: medicinal microbiology. SUBSTANCE: whooping cough preparations at different doses (0.1-10.0 MOE for corpuscular preparations and 1.0-100.0 mcg by protein for separate antigens of whooping cough microbe or their complexes) were added to 1.0 ml suspension of human monocyte-like cell strain I-937 (4 x 106 cells/ml). In 5-7 h of the combined culturing at 37 C with 1 ml medium-199 with 20% cattle blood serum preparations were washed with Henx solution, fixed and stained. Toxicity is estimated by amount of the damaged cells using method of light microscopy (among 300 cells). Low toxicity: 10-20% damaged cells; moderate toxicity - 20-40%, and high toxicity - above 40%. EFFECT: decreased time of analysis (by 20 times), high sensitivity, accelerated method. 4 tbl
