FIELD: medicine, in particular, material for absorbing patient's discharges. SUBSTANCE: sanitary cloth with two longitudinal and two transverse edges has liquid-permeable upper sheet and liquid-impermeable rear sheet, absorbing insert positioned between sheets, two flaps positioned at both sides of longitudinal edges and portions with adhesive on rear sheet faced to patient's clothing. Method involves bending flaps to upper sheet prior to using cloth and fixing them in such position by retainers, which may be formed as removable strip for connecting adhesive portions; providing predetermined space between adhesive strips; feeding adhesive strips from roll to preliminarily made cloth, which is folded so that its rear sheet is faced upward. EFFECT: increased efficiency by improved sanitary conditions and increased convenience in usage. 10 cl, 6 dwg
