FIELD: hygienic textile products. SUBSTANCE: this relates to absorbing articles which are used in disposable swaddling clothes, hygienic napkins, women's paddings, etc. Absorbing article has insert with multilayer absorbing body. Insert contains at least one receiving-distributing layer, one storing layer, liquid-transporting wrapping, and additional storing layer located below wrapped multilayer absorbing body. At testing for receiving and distribution of liquid at pressure of 28 g/sq.cm, receiving-distributing layer shows speed of receiving and distributing of liquid in order of 2 cu.cm of artificial urine per second. Storing layer consists of gel-creating material which can absorb artificial urine at such speed that it reaches 40% of its absorbing capacity for not longer than 10 s when being tested by "tea bag" method. Gel-creating material possesses total absorbing capacity which 25 times higher than its dry weight. This material can absorb liquid at speed of 0.8 g of artificial urine per second per 1 g of gel-creating material. Absorbing body can incorporate at least two pairs of layers. In this case, one pair of layers is made up of receiving-distributing layer and storing layer which is located below receiving-distributing layer. Both pairs of layers are hydraulically interconnected. Article can have two longitudinal edges which are located apart from each other, two end edges located apart from each other, first and second end portions, and central portion located between end portions. End portions are provided with strips which are at least partly overlapping each other when article is born below waist. Absorbing insert in this case is positioned between upper sheet which is permeable for liquid and lower sheet which is impermeable for liquid. Both sheets are connected to each other. Application of aforesaid embodiment of article allows for efficient receiving, distributing and storing of emitted liquids. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 6 cl, 10 dwg
