Core contains at least one admission/distribution layer with predetermined liquid-admission rate, accumulation layer partially consisting of absorption gel- forming material achieving 40% of absorption capacity in 10 sec when tested for "tea sac" test. Accumulation layer includes at least two pairs of layers with summary absorption capacity 25 times its dry weight and absorbing 0.8 g/s of artificial urine per 1 g of absorption gel-forming material.
