FIELD: preparation of organic synthesis catalysts. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to improved method for producing aniline via vapor-phase nitrobenzene hydrogenation and can be used in dye production as well as in petrochemical industry for hydrogenation of nitro compounds into primary amines in caprolactam production. Method is distinguished with that, as carrier, aluminium hydroxide is utilized which is mixed with vanadium compound in presence of nitric acid with acid modulus 0.015- 0.1 and water followed by extrusion, drying, calcination, and impregnation with aqueous solutions of nickel and copper salts.
