FIELD: manufacturing pistons of internal combustion engines from aluminum alloys with silicon additions. SUBSTANCE: piston consists of metal body with side holes and its bottom has ceramic and niresist inserts. The latter is calorized directly before installation in stamp. Ceramic insert is fixed with the help of niresist insert in course of its subsequent location and locking. Then liquid metal is poured into stamp and fulfilled successively are stamping, broaching of side holes in body, lower underpressing and final holding under pressure. Metal crystallization and joining of piston members take place in course of the operations. Stamping is carried out in two stages at low and nominal pressure and holding for 10-15 s between stages for formation of sealing band. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 5 dwg
