FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Proposed device comprises body and boss rigidly inter-jointed by two pairs of ribs equidistant from lengthwise axis and arranged regularly all around. Two bell cranks are fitted between ribs pivoted to webs jointed to said ribs. Ribs ends have recesses for ring ID and stop for interaction with ring face. One arms of said bell cranks have handles while the other arms are arranged to interact with ring opposite end face. Ribs outer faces allow fitting non-resistive ring in the die with radial clearance between its inner surface and ribs recesses equal to δ = (0.003…0.005)d, where d is ring OD.
EFFECT: efficient removal of excess aluminised metal, accuracy of ring fit, reduced installation time.
