FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this can be used for producing unsplittable joints through welding or soldering by light beam of articles utilized in instrument making, mechanical engineering. Device has reflector in which installed are electrodes - cathode and anode kept in electrode holders, housing being cooled, and screen transparent for light beam. Device is provided with unit for combined displacement of electrodes so as to adjust arc gap relative to emitting focus of reflector, and unit for excitation of arc discharge. This unit has contact in the form of cylinder fastened on resilient link which is located along anode electrode holder, solenoid with its core located in chamber connected with inner space of reflector, and return spring positioned inside chamber. Other end of resilient link is connected with solenoid core. EFFECT: high efficiency. 2 cl, 2 dwg
