FIELD: air heaters of blast furnaces and other heating apparatuses. SUBSTANCE: method involves use of pipe-in-pipe burners wherein one of components of gas-air mixture is separated into several parallel streams by means of antifluctuation device inserted into outlet end of internal pipe of burner. Stream of parallel jets leaving antifluctuation device intensively ejects second component of gas-air mixture admitted to precombustion chamber of limited length together with first stream. Gas and air are adequately mixed up in precombustion chamber. Gases admitted to combustion chamber are of small-scale flow turbulence structure; they ignite in this chambers and prevent gas pressure fluctuations at frequencies of 3-7 Hz and vibration of equipment. Diameters of antifluctuation device channels are different. Some of channels in central part of device have large hydraulic diameters and are provided with movable walls which make it possible to vary hydraulic diameters of these channels. EFFECT: improved economic efficiency in fuel combustion and reduced emission of pollutants into atmosphere. 2 dwg
