FIELD: environment protection; cleaning water reservoirs from radioactive and toxic wastes and their storage. SUBSTANCE: container is made on floating platform provided with bore by assembling prefabricated and prestressed reinforced-concrete components in volumetrically prestressed torus-container with-joints between components sealed by cast-in-sity concrete. Platform with torus-container, less closing ring, is conveyed to point where wastes have been detected, platform is locked in position, wastes are raised from water reservoir bottom through platform bore and loaded into torus-container; then platform is conveyed to next point where wastes have been detected, and procedure is repeated until torus-container is fully loaded. After that container is sealed by closing ring-and cast-in-sity concrete. Platform with torus-container is conveyed to storage site, slightly submerged, and taken out of torus-container which gradually goes down by gravity in horizontal position to desired storage site.
