FIELD: decontaminating water areas from radioactive wastes. SUBSTANCE: method involves manufacture of large pre-stressed reinforced-concrete semi-containers in the form of hollow cylinders which are then conveyed by means of separate floating platforms over water surface to submarine or vessel location point where they are coaxially arranged; then reactor compartment with floating compartments at ends is placed between semi-containers and linked together; after that, reinforcement is passed via cylinder-wall through channels and tensioned until semi-containers are joined together; reactor compartment is placed into container and floating containers are mounted beyond container, reinforcement is pre-stressed to rated value, and then floating compartments are disconnected, container ends are closed with tight lids, and solution is injected into channels and welds to hold reinforcement in position and to seal the weld. This done, container is conveyed by means of floating platforms over water surface to disposal area. EFFECT: improved environmental friendliness, facilitated procedure due to easy dismounting of floating means. 2 cl
