FIELD: disposal of radioactive wasted to underground storages. SUBSTANCE: volumetrically prestressed tubular, cylindrical, or toroidal containers are manufactured on floating platform. Then container-carrying platform is conveyed to waste location, secured in position, and wastes are loaded into container which is then sealed by encapsulating closing member with prestressed concrete. Container-carrying platforms are first conveyed over water surface and then over water canal running from water area to storage made at canal bottom; container is dipped to storage bottom and storage is filled with soil over perimeter to form inverted cone of storage height and foot diameter equal to at least 0.25 of storage width.
