FIELD: hydrometallurgy. SUBSTANCE: ore is subjected to crushing and wet grinding to form slurry, which is leached at pH 4.2-2.2 on one or several apparatuses. Thereafter, with no preliminary neutralization, leaching at pH 4.6-2.0 is combined with countercurrent sorption of uranium maintaining pH value in head (in slurry displacement direction)ionite-treatment apparatus within the range of 4.6-2.6, advantageously 4.0-3.6, and that in tail ionite-treatment apparatus within the range of 3.4-2.0 (3.2-2.4). Temperature of acid and ionite treatment of slurry is maintained within the range 30-70 C (40-60 C). Oxidant employs manganese compounds. Desorption of uranium from ionite is effected through agency of sulfate-nitrate solutions. EFFECT: optimized process conditions. 4 cl, 1 dwg, 5 tbl
