FIELD: heavy-current power engineering. SUBSTANCE: switching device designed to convey energy from inductive storage to load has vacuum chamber with cathode and anode input and output leads. Vacuum chamber accommodates fixed and movable electrodes, first solid bus, second composite bus whose first and second sections are interconnected in series through uncontrolled spark gap, and at least one plasma generator. Buses are connected on one end to input leads and on other end, to output leads. Movable electrode is mechanically coupled with inductive dynamic operating mechanism and electrically connected by means of flexible conductors to second bus that has hole coaxial with electrodes mounting pin. Fixed electrode is rigidly coupled with first bus. Plasma generator output is oriented to gap between first bus and second section of second bus. Connected to first section of second bus is single square current pulse generator through release. Device also has control unit with two control inputs and four outputs connected to control inputs of operating mechanism, generator, and release.
