FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: engine can have different number of cylinders arranged over circumference in disk-shaped cylinder block and parallel to axis of working shaft located in center of cylinder block and provided with main and additional disks. Working mixture is prepared outside the cylinders (in carburetor) and is ignited by high temperature provided owing to high degree of compression in cylinders. Working cycle of engine consists of four strokes (intake, compression, working stroke, exhaust). During working stroke gases formed as a result of detonation of fuel-air mixture move pistons in cylinders, and reciprocating movement of pistons is transformed by means of main and additional disks provided with angle brace into rotary movement of working shaft. Engine has reciprocating and valve timing mechanisms, cooling, lubricating, fuel systems and compression ratio regulator providing ignition of different types of fuel-air mixture as a result of compression, without ignition system and special fuel devices.
