FIELD: radioactive waste recovery. SUBSTANCE: ash residue upon burning solid radioactive wastes is mixed up with waste filter perlite, sodium borate, and soda in mass proportion of 19-21; 56-64; 9-5; 16-10, and mixture is vitrified at 1150-1200 C. In this way, volume of radioactive wastes is reduced 18-20 times. EFFECT: reduced volume of radioactive wastes, minimized escape of radioactive cesium due to reduced temperature of process, increased content of radioactive oxides in final product. 1 tbl
