FIELD: recovery of radioactive wastes of nuclear power plants including liquid wastes. SUBSTANCE: method involves sequential introduction of alkaline potassium permanganate and ferrocyanide collector in oil heated to 80 C, volume proportion of oil and ferrocyanide collector being 0.5:5.0, to form coagulant followed by separation of radioactive sediment; used as ferrocyanide collector is cobalt-potassium ferrocyanide or mixture of nickel-potassium ferrocyanide and cobalt- potassium ferrocyanide. Upon such decontamination oil may be reused as it conforms to GOST requirements. EFFECT: improved cleanliness of recovered oil. 1 tbl
