SUBSTANCE: plant uses carriage 1 installed on longitudinal guides 8 and intended for fixing, rotation and reciprocation motion of log 2 in centers 11 and 13, and a carriage installed on transverse guides and intended for fixing of the cutter with the drive; the cutter is installed in such a manner that it radial plane A is located in the same plane with the axis of centers 11, 13 of carriage 1 for vertical movement in the guides, and the cutter generating line is positioned below the axis of centers 11, 13 of carriage 1.
