SUBSTANCE: device has input locations of input channel with asynchronous time sharing carrying destination information in heading which can be processed as virtual circuit identifier; they are sent to location storage MT incorporating many buffer storages of virtual circuits MA1, MA2...MAn; each location is ordered in buffer storage of virtual circuit coupled with virtual circuit assigned to this location; locations coming from output channel with asynchronous time sharing are read out in same buffer storages of virtual circuits MA1, MA2...MAn. Provision is also made for control facilities MC ensuring that locations transferred to output channel are read out in buffer storage in such sequence that locations leaving one buffer storage of virtual circuit are spaced in average at least one interval apart, this interval being definite for particular virtual circuit. Number of locations obtained from virtual circuit and not yet transmitted provides for estimation of carrying capacity of this virtual circuit in such system.
