FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: each element of indication board has control electrode for one coordinate and at least two parallel co-planar electrodes for another coordinate. Corresponding method involves loading, address and indication modes. During indication mode, discharge is moved in reverse direction with respect to each pair of adjacent parallel co-planar indication electrodes of indication element. Phases of discharge voltage pulses are tuned in order to achieve condition that only in one indication electrode its polarity of wall charge differs from polarity of all other indication electrodes of this indication element. EFFECT: increased brightness and light emission. 6 cl, 7 dwg
