FIELD: gas-discharge equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves splitting image frame into n sub- frames which have constant number of support periods for respective sub-frame. Total number R of support periods in any two adjacent sub-frames conforms to condition R ≥ 2S/(n+2), where S is total number of support periods in image frame. Each sub-frame has odd number of support periods, in particular, each support period contains scanning pulses generated at one of r terminals of control chip, where r <= R/2. Each chip is connected to only respective (even or odd) scanning electrodes. In addition method involves control of sequence of sending voltage pulses to all electrodes of gas-discharge indication board. EFFECT: possibility to control sequence of sending voltage pulses to all electrodes of gas-discharge indication board. 3 cl, 4 dwg
