FIELD: gas- discharge engineering; color video modules. SUBSTANCE: pixel incorporating four display electrodes is characterized in that one of middle display electrodes and extreme ones are equally spaced apart. Panel control process is as follows. During warm-up period, general recording pulses are applied to two display electrodes spaced apart at greatest distance; in addressing mode, control pulses are passed to control electrode and to middle one closest to extreme electrode; in display mode, discharge maintaining pulses are applied to extreme electrodes and to middle one equally spaced from extreme display electrodes.
