FIELD: artificial diamonds. SUBSTANCE: explosive synthesis of diamonds may be applied to synthesis of superfine diamonds directly in the process of detonation of an explosive in blasting chamber. Method is based on detonation of a carbon-containing explosive with negative oxygen balance in high-pressure blasting chamber in a gas-liquid cooling medium and is distinguished in the following. Medium surrounding explosive charge is created in chamber before and after blasting of explosive by way of pulverizing cooling liquid in gaseous blast products. As cooling liquid, water is used in amount: $$$ where $$$ is weight of water in medium surrounding the charge, $$$ explosive charge weight, L specific blast heat, and q specific water vaporization heat. Water is preliminarily heated to its boiling point. EFFECT: increased productivity and simplified technology. 3 cl, 1 dwg
